Brain and spine implants with IPG

This brain-spine interface is the first device to reconnect the brain and the spinal cord of a paralysed monkey, allowing it to walk again. The machine translates the brain's messages and sends them to the monkey's legs in real time. Scientists hope it could be used to treat humans with spinal cord injuries.

I think it's a good idea but im not sure about the experimenting on animals.

You should experiment with people already with paralyisis instead of injuring monkeys, even though it is for a few weeks

Research is great. Animals are needed to perform a quick and thorough investigation.

I think it is a good idea but we need to be careful testing it for the first time in humans. Monkeys are a good idea but still they do not have the same nerve system and may react differently.

Don't agree with using animals. Although a very complex and interesting idea, I would just test it on humans: we have too many of us.

These implants have to have immunological acceptance. There is also the question of the implant-neurological tissue interface, since for full integration, this would be necessary. Begining to sound like a Borg to me.
