A trip to space has always been on my wish list, but sadly I think it will remain less of a reality for me than for British astronaut Tim Peake.

Today he became commander of a six-month mission to the International Space Station. This makes him the first Briton to fly as part of a European Space Agency mission.

When asked what he was most excited about, he mentioned the view of Earth from space. I think that would be my answer too.
