As a cyclist, I can't wait for electric cars to be mainstream on our streets. No choking exhaust fumes, quiet engines and they can be charged from renewable sources to reduce carbon emissions. But why are they taking so long to develop?

Leading electric car company Tesla has announced that they won't sue people who use their patented technology. I think it's a great decision. Encouraging, not hindering, innovation in electric car design will give us all a better ride!
