Fancy a trip to space? I do - but I'm not sure about one lasting a whole year, as I'd worry about the effects on my body...

Scott Kelly, a US astronaut, and Mikhail Kornienko, a Russian cosmonaut, have just begun a year-long mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS). They hope to find out more about poorly understood problems such as how long stays in space affect the immune system and the eyes. It'll be the longest continuous stay aboard the ISS.

I wonder how this information might help future space explorers?

Would you go on a year-long space trip?
