I love sleep and hate being disturbed - with good reason, it would seem.

Researchers have found that people who suffer from sleep apnoea report memory problems a decade earlier than those who slumber more peacefully. Sleep apnoea happens when your throat muscles relax, which can block airways. This makes you snore and can deprive your brain of oxygen. Scientists found that apnoea patients who used special machines to keep their airways open had better memories.

Now if only I could get one of those machines for my other half...
