I love my morning cup of coffee and I need it to function properly. Apparently robots could soon share my need.

Scientists in Italy have created a robotic tentacle filled with coffee granules. The granules allow it to bend, stretch or stiffen. The scientists hope that one day it will be used in keyhole surgery.

I think it's a great idea to make robots cheaper and out of biodegradable materials. But only if they work as well as traditional materials - I want the best possible robot to operate on me!

Would you let a robot operate on you?

The Italian scientists' design was inspired by the movement of octopus tentacles.
