Sending things into space is expensive. You can't get a rocket back after it's been fired... or can you?

SpaceX are trying to do just that. They want to recycle their rockets rather than let them get broken up on re-entry. Their latest attempt to land a used rocket on a floating platform failed, but they're not giving up.

Recycling rockets could mean much cheaper space flights. Space agencies could afford to send up more satellites and more manned missions. Let's hope their landings improve soon.

The recycled SpaceX rocket could be reused 40 times - if it can be recovered.
