How do you stop people from smoking?

Australia has banned manufacturers' logos on cigarette packets to see if it helps people to quit. A new study suggests that the plain packets have positive effects, but it's a small study and far from conclusive.

The UK government has decided to wait until there is evidence plain packets actually reduce smoking. But when it comes to killer issues such as this, I think we should try any strategy that could help people quit.
