I feel that climate scientists are often ignored by politicians. So I think it's great that President Obama has announced a plan to cut carbon emissions from US power plants by 30% by 2030. He hopes that this will be a major step in tackling climate change.

Although it's a move in the right direction, I'm worried that it doesn't go far enough. Power plants make up only 30% of the USA's emissions - the plan won't deal with emissions from other sources such as cars or factories.
