I think the brain and nervous system is fascinating. Now I can watch neurons light up in a worm as it moves - awesome!

The new technique uses lots of tiny lenses and a computer to make a 3D video image of neuron activity. Increasing the speed and resolution might allow researchers to use the method on mammalian brains. I hope it works on humans one day... I wonder what my brain looked like when I read this news?

This research was published in the 18 May 2014 issue of the journal Nature Methods.
