I've spent many hours trying to re-create my own home in Minecraft, and interacting with my digital neighbours. It's great fun, but Minecraft is proving to be more than just a game - even museums want a presence. The British Museum is looking for volunteers to help with the digital 'construction' of its building and exhibits.

I think this is a great way to introduce children to coding, as well as encouraging architectural and design creativity. It would be exciting to see Minecraft in schools too.

Should children learn how to code?

Minecraft has potential to be educational as well as fun.
