I use my microwave all the time in the kitchen. I was amazed to hear a similar technology fitted to a helmet could diagnose strokes so they can be treated more rapidly.

The helmet uses weak microwave radiation to see if there's a bleed or clot in the brain when a patient shows symptoms of a stroke. Selecting the right treatment quickly is crucial to prevent brain damage.

It's been tested on patients and has a lot of potential. I hope it's not too long before the technology is saving lives in ambulances.
