I thought we might be able to hold back the melting of glaciers. But research now indicates a 'keystone' Antarctic glacier is doomed. Once it goes, others in the region would eventually follow.

The vanishing of the entire West Antarctic ice sheet would have a huge effect on sea levels worldwide: a rise of up to 3 metres if all of it melted. Although these changes may take several hundred years, global warming is happening now. We need to plan for changes and think about what we can do as individuals to buy more time.

I think this is the most frightening aspect of our life today - catastrophic. We do need to change but how do people and governments tackle this is a practical way! Where do we begin and make it effective

If we do not take care of our planet it might get destroyed and water will overtake much of the land
