I have to admit I can get pretty cross with people when I have low blood sugar. A new study suggests I'm not alone in that.

Every night couples taking part in a trial were asked to measure their blood sugar and their aggression towards their partner. Low blood sugar was linked to greater aggression.

But other researchers have criticised the study - it didn't check what the participants had eaten or if they'd been drinking.

Regardless, I'm taking the advice of the study and never bringing up a controversial subject on an empty stomach!
