I like to think I'm adventurous and enjoy getting away from it all, but as soon as I lose my mobile internet connection, I get grumpy! Google's new experiment, Project Loon, probably had people like me in mind.

The ambitious project could provide internet access to disaster areas where communications have been damaged. Is Project Loon potentially loony? Maybe, but all the best ideas are.
