I never 'got' neuroscience - it's really complicated. That must be why Europe is spending a billion pounds on the Human Brain Project.

But loads of scientists taking part have walked out on it because they weren't kept in the loop when it came together. They argue the project should fund more varied ways of researching the human brain.

It seems to me that some of the scientists feel misled and want assurance the funding will be used wisely.
