What's the size of a house and nearer to the Earth than the Moon? An asteroid that's passing by us right now.

It's thought a small part of it broke off and hit the Earth near Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. No-one was hurt, but it caused an explosion and earth tremors.

NASA is currently tracking 11,000 asteroids that will pass close to Earth at some point. But worryingly this one was only spotted last week...

LAST YEAR THERE WAS ALSO ASTEROID THAT LANDED INTO EARTH AND ON FELL INTO A LAKE AND ONE IN A SCHOOL. WHO KNOWS IF THERE'S ANY COMING NOW? BEWARE...
