Growing up I loved playing and imagining great conversations with my dolls. So does the release of an internet-connected version of Barbie mean traditional ways of playing with dolls are going to become a thing of the past?

Hello Barbie will use speech recognition software so it can have two-way conversations. As well as playing games and telling jokes, the hi-tech doll will also remember what a child has said so it can 'learn' to adapt what it says.

I wonder how traditional play will change with smart toys like this...
