I don't like the sight of needles or blood. My friend who has diabetes is a heroine to me - she pricks her finger to test her blood glucose level twice a day.

Google 'smart contact lenses' could make monitoring glucose levels simple, painless and automatic. They have a glucose sensor and a wireless chip that would send messages to your phone. With diabetes on the up, a lot of people could be wearing them. Would you?
