Will GM food do me harm? What about the environment? Would it harm British wildlife if our farmers used GM crops?

The government's Environment Secretary thinks not. He says scientists have shown GM to be safe and beneficial.

It's widely used around the world, but here in Europe governments have avoided introducing GM because they fear it will be unpopular.

It seems ridiculous to me that we don't give our farmers access to technology that could help them grow larger amounts of more nutritious food.

The environment secretary thinks it's ok. He should read Dr Mercola's website for his view on the chronic health problems associated with GM crops in US and the unhealthy amount of pesticides used on GM crops. Some of the recent research indicating that GM is safe has now been heavily criticised.
