After a bad night's sleep I don't feel great, and according to scientists I probably don't look great either.

Researchers took photos of volunteers after they'd had a good night's sleep, and after a couple of nights with little sleep. They found that other people judged the volunteers more attractive and healthy-looking when they'd slept well.

This study is a much-needed reminder that sleeping well is good for my health. I'll definitely try harder to get an early night.

The volunteers were asked to sleep well for two nights, then only sleep for four hours for two nights a week later.
