Modern medicine can often feel like a big hammer trying to crack a nut. Particularly with cancer - patients have to go through horrible treatments to stop it.

A massive new study is looking at the whole genetic code of 100,000 British people. Scientists think in future they'll be able to understand and treat your exact condition and tailor your treatment specifically to you. This will make treatments much more accurate and less harsh.

We could be about to enter a new era of medicine...
