Do we make our first impressions of people based on their faces? I try not to, but it seems most of us do...

Scientists have used a mathematical model to link the appearance of strangers' faces to our first impressions. The model appears to explain how small changes in dimensions of facial features affect how approachable, attractive or dominant someone appears to be.

This model could help animators bring characters to life, but could also be used to create impressions on social networks. Maybe I'll think twice about the photos I share online.
