Facebook is abuzz with election opinion today. Most of the messages I'm seeing agree with my own political views. But who controls what appears on my news feed?

Social media sites organise and filter news feeds. Some people worry this hides posts a user might disagree with. But a new study indicates that individual choice causes a much bigger political bias than built-in filter mechanisms.

It still bothers me that Facebook's filters hide stuff that my friends have shared - without my control. Can't they be more transparent?
