I love to walk, hike, run… anything that allows me to use my body as more than a compartment for my brain. Still, I was surprised to see how much we can benefit from exercise. A report in the British Medical Journal has shown that 150 minutes of exercise each week could prevent thousands of cases of cancer and type 2 diabetes. In such a complex world, it's comforting to see that the best solutions can be as simple as going for a walk  - and it's absolutely free!
