When I imagine an electric car I think of the slow, dinky ones that are perfect for making your way around a traffic-logged city. But the Drayson Racer has reached 204.2 mph to smash the land speed record for lightweight electric cars.

Super-speedy electric cars such as this show what the technology is capable of. Aspects of the design will be used in a future Formula E car, and ultimately all cars I hope.
