I think fake-eye specs are ridiculous! If I'm tired or have a lot on my mind, I can find it hard to fake a friendly smile. But these glasses take hiding your emotions to a new level...

Researchers in Japan have created cyborg glasses that project fake eyes in place of your real ones. They make wearers look alert and friendly, even if they are really distracted or annoyed.

What an odd idea. Why would I want to speak to people who wear glasses that suggest they can't be bothered to look interested?

Would you wear cyborg glasses?

Hidden emotions

Researchers say the glasses allow people to feel 'cared' about, without users having to 'control their emotions'.
