Science usually cheers up my Monday blues, but today all I found was a new killer virus! The novel coronavirus hasn't been around for long, but it's already proved to be deadly: there have been 18 deaths from only 34 cases.

Now the World Health Organization is warning that the virus can pass directly between humans. Luckily, it is hard to catch, so each outbreak has been well contained. I'm not too scared, but it does worry me that the source of the virus is unknown...
