I'd like to think I know my friends and family pretty well, but it seems computers might be a better judge of what they're like than I am!

By analysing over 70,000 Facebook users' 'likes', and connecting them to five personality traits, a computer has outperformed friends, families and even some partners at predicting these traits. The traits analysed were agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, neuroticism and openness.

Although the results may show computers can predict some personality traits, I think we're really a lot more complex than this experiment suggests.

How good are you at judging people's personalities?

The experiment involved completing a personality questionnaire and a having a colleague or family member fill out a character witness survey.
