The thought of getting dementia, or caring for a relative with it, is very scary.

Researchers have encouraging results for a blood test that can predict the onset of Alzheimer's disease three years ahead. They want to find out if they can predict it even earlier.

The researchers believe that if they diagnose the disease earlier, drug treatments might be more effective. This makes sense to me. Hopefully predictive tests will improve and at least delay Alzheimer's with new treatments.
