I could feel the air buzzing with excitement at the Science Museum this morning. Who's that, posing by the Apollo 10 Lunar Module? It's Britain's first 'official' astronaut, Tim Peake, chosen by the European Space Agency from thousands of applicants.

His mission? Five months as a flight engineer on the International Space Station.

Tim will rocket into orbit in November 2015. He'll spend his time in space on zero-gravity experiments, spacewalks and... tweeting to all of us back on Earth. Now that's one genuinely exceptional person worth following!

What would you experiment on in space?
