Last week I went to see my GP about an infected cut. She gave me the option of taking antibiotics. But this news makes me think twice.

The World Health Organization is worried that we could soon enter a 'post-antibiotic' era. Over-use of antibiotics is creating bacteria that can resist even the most powerful drugs.

What will happen when antibiotics no longer work? Even minor scratches could be deadly. I don't want to be part of the problem - I won't use antibiotics unless I really need them.
