My eyes were itchy and I had a sore throat this morning. Was that due to the incredibly high air pollution levels today?

The high levels are partly caused by sand particles blowing over from the Sahara, but also come from local exhaust emissions. While my irritation was minor, those with asthma must really be feeling it.

I'm disappointed the government has failed to achieve targets to cut exhaust emissions. They need to get a handle on air pollution because people with asthma, the elderly, children and many others are at risk.

your right. i personally dont think hryibd-electric cars are as great as they are said to be. they definitly pass on the pollution-potential to the power plants that charge their batteries. if the power plant runs on renewable energy sources, the story may be different.the production process for all cars is the same. 13% of the car's lifetime energy is used during the production process.dont get me wrong, i think hryibd cars are much better than normal cars, but they still have a long way to go.
