Distant Voyagers

  • June 18, 2012 | Rohan

It looks like the Voyager 1 spacecraft is about to leave the Solar System. I for one am quite excited by the fact that we’re now an interstellar species!

NASA says messages from Voyager 1 show the probe is detecting large amounts of particles from distant exploded stars. This indicates that it’s getting near to the edge of the Solar System.

Voyager 1 and its sister probe Voyager 2 are heading towards the heart of our galaxy, propelled by plutonium power sources which should last another 15 years.

In the unmeasurabley distant future when all motion is ceased , it should be written , “Mankind tried it’s best to join the gods in overcoming physical boundaries “
