Could gene therapy beat HIV?

    Wouldn’t it be great if we could equip our bodies to beat serious diseases such as HIV?

    Gene therapy - fixing or changing our genes - could be the answer, but there have been safety concerns in the past. A new study that tested out a clever new ‘triple-action’ technique has just produced promising results. It proved safe in a small study and now needs to be tested further.
