I love listening to loud music, especially when I’m on the tube.
However, new regulations this month mean that all personal music players and phones sold in the EU will now have a sound limit of 85 decibels (dB).
Listening to music over 85 dB for long periods of time can lead to hearing loss or trigger tinnitus – a ringing or buzzing noise in the ear.
In a survey of 16- to 34-year-olds, 40% said they would want to override the new setting.
