I love an ice cream in the sunshine. So I’m thrilled that scientists are searching for the secret to silky-smooth ice cream…
It’s actually avalanche research kit, but the experts are using their X-ray machine to scan ice cream. It takes images of the tiny crystals that form when ice cream is transported, sold and stored. These crystals make ice cream chewier, icier and hard to scoop.
If scientists can work out how to slow down the growth of ice crystals, we’ll be a step closer to perfect ice cream. Yum.
