Europe’s water inefficiency

    I’ve heard this week that some areas of the UK are to introduce hosepipe bans in April. A new report says Europe still needs to try harder to use water efficiently – and not just for environmental reasons.

    The reports says water scarcity could badly affect Europe’s already fragile economies. Water is becoming scarcer, but we aren’t changing our behaviour to match. Governments need a sustainable plan for future water use.
