Alas, the start of the answer to the biggest question ever? How did we get here? I have always maintained my original answer by saying we started from a mass with energy! This goes along way for science and discovery of cures, technology and life? Surely this is a massive breakthough for science! even though 50 years ago, this was the same theory. glad its been explored and thank go for scientists!!

Clearly you dont understand the significance of this discovery if it is proved correct!! and all that stuff about creating a black hole is just uninformed nonsense.

The pursuit of knowledge is the single most valuable thing to us a species. Understanding the world at the quantum level and the interactions of these bosons with ‘matter’ will unlock so much potential for the advancement of the human race in ways currently inconcievable. Scientific masters like Bohr, Dirac and Schrodiger were often lambasted, even by their peers. The good people at CERN: We salute you!

Technically they invented the World Wide Web, not the internet. And yes, they have invented many things that help in the everyday world, especially the medical world. (PET, ETC.)
